I found only a few larvae in some side

below Bonham Road, between "Fairles" and "Nullah Side" to keep

the stream more closely to its channel.

Nullah passing Public Mortuary.

Very few larvae were to be found in this

nullah, but I saw a few both above and below the bridge. There

were none in the catch pits for sand opposite to the Mortuary;

but in one or two places between these pits, where the concrete

is broken, I found larvae, and these hollows should be re-

paired.

The Chinese Gardens at Test Point.

I again direct attention to the Chinese

Gardens between the Public Mortuary and Western Street. There

are cemented hollows for the storing of water, and many of

these swarm with Culex larvae. I was unable to find any larvae

of Anopheles, either in these or in water standing in pots, on

this occasion; out I have previously found them about these

gardens, and it is desirable that the owners should be required

to
